How Does This Resale Thing Work?

We accept items for resale during normal business hours without appointments and without item limits.  We want to make bringing things in as pain free as possible. With this in mind, please take the time to sort your items before bringing them to bella stella for consideration.  Dirty or stained items will not be accepted.  We are now accepting items year-round, regardless of the current season!

Credit is given for baby, childrens’, and maternity clothing on the spot; no need to check up on or wait for items to sell.  We do not give cash for resale items, except for strollers (see below for details). We do not have a strict policy regarding brands we will take, but we tend to take in higher end items, such as Tea, Gymboree, Gap, Hanna Andersson, REI, Petit bateau, Under the Nile, Patagonia, Janie & Jack, Posh, Naartjie, Primigi, Ecco, Robeez, See Kai Run, etc.  We tend to take in fewer items purchased at stores such as Wal-Mart, K-mart, Fred Meyer (e.g., Carter’s), Old Navy, and Target.  We offer 50% of what we estimate will be the final sale price in store credit.  We reserve the right not to accept items at our discretion.

In store credit can be used for any in-stock item in the store, including new apparel and baby carriers.

In store credit does not expire.

Discounts/coupons/sales prices do not apply when using in-store credit.

bella stella DOES accept:

• Childrens’ clothing in excellent condition (newborn through age
• Maternity clothing(current styles)
• Select quality toys manufactured within the past five years
• Gear such as booster seats, high chairs, strollers and excer-saucers
• Outdoor gear, such as skis, skateboards, etc.
• Books published AFTER 1985 (CPSIA law…sorry antique book lovers!)
• Select baby carriers and slings
• Furniture such as changing tables, rocking chairs

bella stella does NOT accept:

• Car seats
• Cribs
• Clothing with rips, stains, pilling etc.
• Items from smoking homes
• Unwashed clothing
• Recalled items

Items not accepted for resale that are left at bella stella over 48 hours become property of bella stella.  If you leave items at the store and do not pick them up or make other arrangements within 48 hours, we reserve the right to donate or otherwise dispose of the items.

Consignment items left at bella stella for 6 months will become property of bella stella.

We are now accepting strollers on consignment!  

You will get real money – a check for 50% of the stroller’s sale price!  Please read our stroller policies below carefully, and give us a call if you have any questions.

• Stroller will be placed out for sale for a period of not more than 2 months from the date of drop-off.  Bella stella, LLC will exercise reasonable care in displaying and moving the strollers, but bella stella is not responsible for any damage to the stroller.
• If defects in the stroller are discovered after it is dropped off at the store, a store employee will notify the consigner as soon as possible after the defect is discovered.   The consigner has the option to attempt to sell the stroller at a reduced price that accounts for the defects, but if an agreement cannot be reached, the consigner will then have two weeks from the date of notification to pick up the stroller, after which strollers left at the store will become property of bella stella.
• Price for the stroller will be determined mutually by bella stella and consigner at the time of drop-off.  Photo identification is required at the time of stroller drop-off and at the time of pick-up of any unsold stroller or pickup of payment for a sold stroller.
• If the stroller is sold, consigner will be owed 50% of the sale price, payable by check.  It is the consigner’s responsibility to pick up payment from bella stella within two weeks of the due date noted above.
• It is the consigner’s responsibility to contact bella stella to inquire about the status of the stroller by the due date.  It is not bella stella’s responsibility to notify consigner when the stroller sells, but we may make an effort to do so if time allows.
• If the stroller does not sell by the due date, it is the consigner’s responsibility to return to bella stella to pick up their stroller within two weeks of the due date.  Strollers not picked up wihin this time frame become property of bella stella.
